Alice and George are brother and sister. They are waiting for their parents to return from a new science technology seminar when an announcement comes in on every channel and every wavelength... Meteors are heading to the earth. All life will be destroyed. Get to the shelter as quickly as possible. The two of them discover the shelter is 20 miles away and, with just 18 hours to get there, they need to move fast. No car and just a few useful items in their backpacks, brother and sister head off on a treacherous journey that not only tests their relationship but their humanity too.
Nothing is simple on the route to safety and with little contact to their parents, they begin to feel very alone and wonder if they'll make it at all.
