Drive On When You're Ready

by Andy Langford

LEARNING TO DRIVE IS AN EXPERIENCE. BEING A DRIVING INSTRUCTOR IS ALSO QUITE AN EXPERIENCE.

This book addresses many of the challenges that learner drivers face when learning to drive. With over 27 years as a driving instructor, my extensive experience can now be put to even better use for the benefit of a wider audience, not just the 'privileged' locals that I've taught and guided over those years.

Learner drivers can be excitable or frightened; over-confident or extremely cautious; efficient or uncoordinated; switched on or completely unaware; keen to ask questions or virtually unresponsive - quite a vast contrast of attitudes and abilities.

Here you will discover techniques and strategies that I have developed and used but explained in a way that is intended to complement the lessons that any instructor delivers. It should provoke discussion between pupil and instructor (or parent/s) and help establish a more confident self, well prepared for the practical test, but recognising the need for continual practice and improvement.

Written in a unique style you will discover numerous anecdotes to illustrate a variety of situations, as well as other unique features that you will find both amusing and valuable. This book is also ideal for parents that are committed to teaching their own children, whether all the way through to the practical test or in conjunction with regular lessons.
