When Hazel and Rosalina finally think they can get away from their past, their family drama, everything catches up to them. Late one night their mom knocks on the door. She was supposed to be in Alaska, with their dad Dale. Dale wasn’t with her. Anne is hysterical, Dale has been gone for a week. Last time they were together they were hiking the Denali Mountain Range. She had all of his necessities to survive.
The girls live in Hawaii, on Molokai. Anne hasn’t contacted the girls but a phone call here and there. Anne and Dale chose love and colder temperatures, they just decided one day to up and move to Alaska. Hazel and Rosalina wanted to finish school and they had finally begun getting their lives together on the “Friendly Isle”.
